Auto backwash filters working principle use a reverse flow of water to clean the filter media and remove trapped impurities. The process starts when a differential pressure switch senses a decrease in water pressure, indicating that the filter media is clogged. The switch then activates a backwash cycle that reverses the flow of water, causing the accumulated impurities to be flushed out of the filter and into a waste line. Clean water then re-enters the filter, restoring normal flow and pressure. This process is automated and can be set to occur at regular intervals or triggered by a pressure drop, depending on the specific design of the filter system.
